Sometimes called “caps,” dental crowns are protective covers that restore and reinforce damaged teeth. Perhaps you have a large cavity, recent root canal, or we’re replacing an old, large filling. When a tooth cannot withstand normal biting or chewing without breaking down further, a protective crown is needed.
Crowns are typically designed from porcelain or ceramic for both functional as well as aesthetic purposes. Our goal is to provide you with a durable restoration that blends in with the teeth on either side of it.
Dental crowns can also be placed on top of dental implants if you’re replacing an individual tooth.

Dental bridges are a traditional solution for people with one or two missing teeth. All that’s needed is a healthy tooth (or pair of implants) on either side of your missing one(s). Bridges also serve a dual purpose in that they reinforce the teeth that support them if they’re also in need of a protective crown.
Like crowns, your bridge is crafted for aesthetics and function. Placing it shortly after tooth loss will help preserve natural tooth alignment and allow you to continue eating normally.

Traditional removable dentures and partial dentures are a fast, affordable way to replace all of your missing teeth at one time. Dentures restore all of your upper or lower teeth at once, whereas partial dentures clip into place around the healthy teeth you still have.
Made from a durable acrylic base, your new denture can be customized for a whiter, straighter smile. Dr. Keyzer will walk you through the denture fitting and adjustment process, as well as the special home care steps necessary to help your prosthesis last as long as possible.

Another dental implant restoration that we can provide is a hybrid “overdenture.” These removable dentures snap onto corresponding dental implants for added stability and comfort throughout the day. Your specialist may only need to place 2-4 implants per arch. Then, Dr. Keyzer creates a custom denture restoration that clips onto the implants to hold them in place. Like traditional dentures, overdentures are removable for easy home care and hygiene purposes.
Dr. Keyzer is a licensed sedation dentist, providing both nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation at our practice. Sedation options keep you comfortable and reduce your dental anxiety, helping you feel more relaxed and at ease, regardless of the complexity of your treatment needs.
If you’re someone who has had negative experiences in the past, those interactions can interfere with accessing the dental care you need. Dental sedation can help you overcome any hesitations or history of dental phobia for more accessible care. Once you’re caught up with the treatments you need, it’s easier to maintain a healthy smile in the years ahead, even without dental sedation.
